No manager wants a team filled with injured players, but injuries in football are almost impossible to avoid. Note that the true importance of a player will be felt when he is injured, especially if there are no replacements.
However, this article will be talking about two top players who'll miss the rest of 2021 due to injury. Take a look!
1. Ben Chilwell
Chelsea defender Ben Chilwell could miss the rest of the season if he needs surgery in January. According to the Telegraph, the 24years old defender will be out for the remainder of the 2021 campaign as he is suspected to have damaged his anterior cruciate ligament.
Chelsea football club wants the injury to heal naturally and would wait till the new year to reassess whether the English international needs surgery.
According to Media Reports from AS, Barcelona doctors have decided that 19 year old Midfielder Pedro Gonzalez would not be able to feature for FC Barcelona until the start of 2022. The medical team at the club say that they do not want to rush the Midfielder back to action so as to prevent a reoccurrence of the same injury to his left leg.
