Manchester United welcomed Aston Villa at Old Trafford on Saturday 25th September. Ole Gunner Solskjaer made no changes to the side that won 2-1 last weekend at London Stadium against West Ham.

Luke Shaw and United's captain Harry Maguire were forced off in the middle of the game due to injury. Kortney Hause scored the late winner for Aston Villa in the 88th minute and Bruno Fernandes went on to miss a penalty in the additional minute of the game.

The defending champions, Manchester City secured a 1-0 win over Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Saturday afternoon. Tuchel tactics failed him as Chelsea failed to register a single shot on target compared to City's five. Gabriel Jesus scored the lone for the Citizens.

West Ham came from behind to secure a 2-1 victory over Leeds United at Elland Road. Michael Antonio scored the winner for the Hammers in the additional time. 

Liverpool failed to secure all three points against Brentford. Mohamed Salah and Diogo Jota were on target for Liverpool.
