Opinion: Regardless of Pogba's Future, Manchester United have to sign world class wonderkid in 2023

On the night Paul Pogba played badly in midfield, England starlet, Jude Bellingham was the man pulling the strings for the German outfit despite being down to 10 men.

Solskjaer recalled the Nation League Winner for the match in Bergamo. However, the Frenchman failed to repay his manager's trust in him.

It was the kind of performance that makes you wonder if it's worth offering him a new contract or just offloading him in January to put an end to his contract issue.

Pogba is a different player for France, which is clear, he wears the Les Bleus shirt with a passion and desire to represent his nation. When he plays for the Red Devils, you don't get the same feeling from him.

United should sign Jude Bellingham

United tried all they could to get the Ex-Birmingham City sensation to the Threatre of Dreams in 2020, but not even Sir Alex Ferguson's charisma could convince Bellingham to join the Manchester based outfit over Borussia Dortmund.

The Englishman has witnessed the positive impact that going to Germany had on Jadon Sancho's career.

And his rapid rise to football prominence is similar to that of his England teammate. When Bellingham gives the green light to embark on a new challenge, the Manchester based club need to be at the front of the queue.

With his minimum fee release clause in place, it's likely that Erling Haaland will follow in Sancho's footsteps and be the star player to depart Signal Iduna Park next summer.

The German outfit are unlikely to sell two of its prized assets in the same summer, therefore Bellingham's big move will most likely have to be delayed until 2023.

What will he add to Manchester United's Midfield

Simply put, the X-factor. With France Star, Pogba looking for a new challenge, with Nemanja Matic aging, and Donny van de Beek struggling for playing time, United's midfield will have to become a main priority to address.

The Norwegian tactician has two energetic and hardworking midfielders in Fred and Scott McTominay who put in a lot of effort for the team. However, the current United team lacks the midfield spark that can bring the team together.

In just 17 games this season, Bellingham has already matched his goal involvement total from last season (9).

He's a box-to-box midfielder and would be a good addition to this Manchester United side, both in and out of possession.

Bellingham, unlike Pogba, who can be a defensive liability, has high work rate and would significantly boost United's ability to press opponents.

If and when the Englishman is ready for a big-money move, United should be first in line because he is the type of player who could galvanize this team.
