Manchester United cemented their position in the semi-finals of the Europa League. This will be their second semi final of the season having previously made it into the English football League semi-final and were knocked out by Pep Guardiola's Manchester City side.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's Reds have now won three successive knockout stage games in a European competition without conceding a single goal. The last time they did this was 2008 where Sir Alex Ferguson was still in charge and they had one of the greatest teams in Premier League history.
While it speaks more to their defensive improvement, it also appeals more to the incredibly resilient mentality they seem to be developing as a squad. Last season, they would have easily buckled under the pressure. This season, they seem a whole lot calmer and more composed.
United went into the game with 7 first team players not in the line-up. Some were due suspension like Scott Mctominay and Harry Maguire's while others were due fitness issues like Anthony Martial.
