Atletico Madrid Femenino Flies In Rashidat Ajibade's Mum From Lagos To See Her Child On A Surprise Visit

There are not much kind gesture better than the one Atletico Madrid de Femenino has shown towards their Nigerian forward, Rasheedat Busayo Ajibade.

Still only 23, Rasheedat is already one of the key players in the Super Falcons team and also making a name for herself in Spain where she plies her trade.

In 26 Primera Division matches played so far for Atletico this season, Rasheedat has notched 8 goals and provided 1 assist to help her club stay fourth on the league table.

As part of their campaign to bring 4 mothers from 4 different countries, Atletico decided to surprise Rasheedat by inviting her mum Ajoke Aramide Ajibade all the way from Lagos to come watch her daughter play.

Madam Ajoke had never visited Spain before, so it was a big, emotional moment for Rasheedat who was shocked to see her mum.

Rasheedat prostrated as a sign of respect to her mother who paid her a surprise visit by courtesy of Atletico Femenino.

With 3 league matches left to play, Rasheedat will be hoping to help her team finish strongly before turning her focus to the FIFA Women's World Cup that will kickstart on the 20th of July.
