REPORTS: Arsenal enter transfer battle to sign 19-year-old striker after 4-0 defeat on Saturday

Without much doubts, Arsenal football club will be aiming to win more trophies under the management of Mikel Arteta this season after a busy summer transfer window.

The North London club made some additions to their squad during the summer as they look to compete with the likes of Manchester City, Liverpool and Chelsea for the Premier League title this season.

However, that is not quite going to plan just yet as Arsena are currently occupying the 5th spot on the Premier League table following their recent 4-0 loss to Liverpool on Saturday.

And due to that disappointing performance against Liverpool, Arsenal are keen on improving their attacking options and have been linked with a move for Red Bull Salzburg striker Karim Adeyemi.

The 19-year-old Germany International, who joined Red Bull Salzburg in 2018 has been an important member of the first-team squad since he made the move.

The young centre-forward enjoyed a superb 2020/2021 season where he scored nine goals and provided 11 assists in 39 appearances in all competitions.

Karim Adeyemi has also started the ongoing 2021/2022 season on a strong note and has scored 15 goals and provided two assists in 23 appearances in all competitions.

His impressive performances in front of goal is said to have attracted interests and according to reports from The Sun, Arsenal are also in the mix.

The reports further claimed that Arsenal have joined the likes of Liverpool and Paris Saint-Germain in the race to sign the highly-rated striker when the transfer window opens.

It is believed that manager Mikel Arteta wants to improve his goalscoring options and will look to rival Liverpool and Paris Saint-Germain for his signature.

That said, it remains to be seen if Karim Adeyemi will choose to continue his developments with RB Salzburg in Austria or he will be interested in a move away when the transfer window opens.
