Opinion: Solskjaer Specialises In Winning Matches To Save His Job, Draw Against Everton Changes That

Cristiano Ronaldo's Manchester United faced Everton in today's Premier League game at Old Trafford to get three points and climb to the top of the Premier League table. On the other hand, Everton's Rafa Benitez needed a victory at Old Trafford to become the first manager to win at the Theater Of Dreams on three occasions with three different teams, after doing that with Liverpool and Chelsea.

But Ole Gunnar Solskjaer surprising Manchester United fans when he decided to leave Cristiano Ronaldo, Paul Pogba, Jadon Sancho and Erik Bailly out of his starting eleven against Everton. These changes did not favour him, which resulted in Manchester United being held to a 1-1 draw at Old Trafford.

For the first time this season, Anthony Martial was introduced to the starting eleven alongside Edison Cavani, with the French man repaying with a goal in the 43rd minute for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's show of faith in him.

The summer signing of Raphael Varane, Cristiano Ronaldo and Jadon Sancho change expectations at the Red Manchester club, but the Norwegian tactician is now struggling to live up to them. Manchester United, prior to the Everton game, had won only two games from five, putting Ole Gunnar Solskjaer under pressure to deliver silverware or get sacked this season.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer knows the Manchester United fans do not want him and would love to see the board make the right decision regarding his future: sacking him. But he has been able to do one thing successfully, that is winning matches whenever he is close to losing his job, the game against Villarreal in the Champions League last Wednesday, attests to that. Now, the Norwegian tactician was not able to win Everton in today's Premier League after they were held to a 1-1 draw against Rafa Benitez's defensive shield, which could result in Manchester United having a rethink on the future of the Norwegian.

The manager, after the international break, may not be the manager of the Red Manchester club after failing to win the Everton game. The aim at the club is to win silverware, not top-four finish as usual.

The Manchester United fans are not pleased with him and could boycott the Leicester-Manchester United game at the King Power Stadium if Ed Woodward and the Glazers refuse to do something regarding the future of the Norwegian.
