UEFA Champions League

Reece James of Chelsea has had his Champions League and Euro 2020 medals stolen.

Reece James has appealed to the football community for assistance in identifying the culprits responsible for the theft of a safe containing his Champions League and Euro 2020 medals from his home.

The Chelsea full-back confirmed on his Instagram account that his home was broken into on September 14, while he was away with the Blues for their match against Zenit St Petersburg.

With the social media post, James also uploaded four CCTV clips, pleading for aid in identifying those responsible.

What went wrong?

James has stated that his home was broken into and a safe stolen while he was away representing Chelsea in their 1-0 Champions League triumph over Zenit on Tuesday night.

The English defender's Champions League and UEFA Super Cup winners' medals, as well as his European Championship runners-up medal, were among the items in the safe.

The 21-year-old also shared four recordings from CCTV cameras positioned around the outside of his home, which show the suspects before and after they gained access to the player's home.

The English defender's Champions League and UEFA Super Cup winners' medals, as well as his European Championship runners-up medal, were among the items found in the safe.

"These medals were won on behalf of Chelsea and England, and they are honors that will never be taken away from me, regardless of whether I have the physical medals to prove it."

"However, I am appealing to all of my Chelsea and England supporters to assist in identifying and apprehending these lowlifes who will never be able to rest easy as the evidence mounts against them."

"The police, my advisers, and Chelsea FC (among others) are all behind me because we have solid leads on the offenders." We're getting closer to them.

"Fortunately, no one was present at the time of the break-in, but I want to assure you that I am safe and sound. I'm grateful for the opportunity to tell you about my misfortune, and I hope that by working together, we can catch these criminals and bring them to justice."
