Opinion: What Barcelona Should Expect From Ansu Fati As He Returns From Injury

Ansu Fati made a strong first impression at Camp Nou yesterday, as Barcelona defeated Levante 3-0 to continue their LaLiga fixtures in 2021-2022. Of course, the Spanish youngster was subbed on in the second-half, and he registered a goal within his 13-minute stay on the pitch.

Apparently, the Ronald Koeman's men are expected to start flying in this campaign, due to the presence of the Spanish young wizard in the team. Fati connected well with Memphis Depay and Yusuf Demir yesterday, as he gave 1 key pass and won a penalty which was not given. Without a doubt, the Bluagranas product is indeed a promising baller.

Meanwhile, there are many things Barcelona should expect from Ansu Fati this season, having seen how he dazzled against Levante on Sunday. Of course, the Catalans had already put 2 goals past their opponent, and the 18-year-old forward sealed it with his goal. The Dutch manager was very happy to see his players' performance at Camp Nou.

Having said that, the Bluagranas should expect the Spanish youngster to give them a massive turnaround, as regards their all-around performance in the 2021-2022 campaign. The Ronald Koeman's men have been performing awfully recently, based on their statistics against Bayern Munich, Granada and Cadiz.

However, Barcelona can lean on Ansu Fati to bring goals and assists to the team. Obviously, when the young player was still on the sideline due to injury, only Memphis Depay was active in front, having seen his performance so far this season. Fortunately, the Catalans academy product has the required qualities to upgrade the frontline.

Without a doubt, the 18-year-old Spaniard should be able to register at least 30+ goal contributions in all competitions for Barcelona this campaign, because he has the ability to bring a goal threat to the attacking line. With him in the squad, the Dutch coach could use him on the left wing while Depay anchors the central-forward role.

In addition, Barcelona should expect Ansu Fati to charge and take their frontline to the next level, as he's able to dribble past many defenders. The Spain international bagged a sensational goal yesterday against Levante, because he was obviously caught between three opposing players, and was very confident in taking a shot outside the box. Apparently, those are things the Bluagranas have been missing since the beginning of 2021-2022.

As regards the upcoming UEFA Champions League game this week, it's no doubt that the youngster will start the match against Benfica. As a result of that, the Ronald Koeman's men are expected to dazzle brilliantly and outstandingly, so as to recover their points and goals lost to Bayern Munich. In all fairness, Fati can single-handedly boost their performance.

In the absence of Ousmane Dembélé because of injury, Ansu Fati and Memphis Depay will be the only dangerous forwards upfront. Having said all that, Barcelona should expect their academy product to upgrade their displays from the front, and at the same time, bring goals and assists to the team, in order to be able to compete with their major rivals in the world of football.
