Liverpool striker and Egyptian international footballer Mohamed Salah, could be the leading the race for October Player of the Month, after his impressive display thus far.
Regarded as one of the best player in the English Premier League, Salah has been an outstanding performer for Liverpool this season, as he has scored a total of 10 goals from 9 league appearances. After Salah’s dominance in Liverpool’s with over Manchester United, he could be rest assured he won’t be denied the English Premier League Player of the Month. Ronaldo, who won the award last month, scored 3 goals in September to help Manchester United climb to the top 4 spot of the league standing. However, he has failed replicate last month’s success, as Manchester United have failed to win any match this month (In the League this month, Manchester United have already lost to Liverpool, Leicester City and drew at home to Everton, with Ronaldo not scoring in any of these matches).
Salah’s October Statistics:
The Month of October started with two English heavy weight and Premier League contenders facing each other, as Liverpool welcomed Manchester City at Anfield in one of the most entertaining match of the season. The match saw late goals from both teams, as Sadio Mane, opened the scoring in the 59th minutes for Liverpool, with Foden, scoring the equalizer in the 69th minutes. Salah restored the lead for Liverpool in the 76th minutes, as he thought his goal would seal the victory, but Kelvin De Bruyne had the last ‘dance’, as he scored at the 81st minutes. The match ended in a 2-2 draw.
Liverpool’s second match in October could be seen as one of their best matches this season, as they thrashed Watford 5-0, with Salah scoring the third goal of the match.
Repeating the same score line, Liverpool sent a direct signal and warning to their rivals when they humiliated Manchester United at Old Trafford in a 5 goal feast. Mohamed Salah, grabbed all the headlines as he scored a wonderful hat-trick to ensure Liverpool secured all three points against their fiercest rivals.
Liverpool’s next match and last match of the month is against Brighton, as they will be hoping to continue their fine form, and Salah making another headline. However, Liverpool are currently second on the log table and would take number 1 spot if they win Brighton and Chelsea fails to win their next match.
