Ahead of the game both teams have had a lot of preparatory games, Although a lot of Chelsea's first team stars have had extended holidays due to them participating in the Euros but they have also trained and featured in some games, their Pre-season has been near flawless as they have won all but one of their games.
Having played four games they have won three and drew just one, they beat Peterborough 6:1, they also beat Bournemouth 1-2, Arsenal also fell to a 1-2 loss, while Tottenham were the only team to earn a draw, Chelsea look solid but same cannot be said for their super cup opponents.

Results of the six games Villarael had played in Pre-season.
Valencia beat Villarreal 3-2, they then played a 2-2 draw with Lyon, another 0-0 draw against Levante followed, Marseille beat them 2-1, Leicester beat them 3-2 and they played a 2-2 draw with Leeds United.
Analysis of The Games
From the six games they have played, Villarreal had recorded 3 loss and 3 draws, and they face Chelsea tommorow, the two English opponents they faced saw them record a draw and a loss.
In the 6 games they played their two toughest opponents were Valencia and Leicester and unsurprisingly they lost both games, Valencia beat them 2-1, while Leicester were dismantling them 3-0 before Foffana got his leg broken, the horror injury gave Villarreal the opportunity to pull two goals back.
Going into a competitive game against Chelsea with such poor form might end up in a massive trashing for Unai Emery's men.
