Aston Villa Goalkeeper Emi Martinez has been linked with a surprise transfer to Stamford bridge ahead of next summer. The Former Arsenal Goalkeeper has been impressive at Villa Park since his exit from Emirates Stadium. He has also been a major pillar of Argentina's success on the international stage in the last few years in the Copa America, Finalisma and the FIFA World Cup tournament in Qatar.
Chelsea Goalkeepers Edouard Mendy and Kepa Arrizabalaga have both been linked with an exit from Stamford bridge at the end of this season and Emi Martinez has been tipped to be their replacement.
According to Mail Sport, Mauricio Pochettino has identified some new targets for Chelsea. The Argentina's National wants Chelsea to sign Emi Martinez, Declan Rice, Lautaro Martinez and Alexis Mac Allister next summer.
The transfer of Emi Martinez to Chelsea as replacement for Kepa Arrizabalaga and Edouard Mendy will be a right move as Chelsea will be getting a world class Goalkeeper. The West London club will also be leaving room for the development of Gabriel Slonina, who has spent this season with Chelsea's youth team.
Chelsea signed Gabriel Slonina last summer but he didn't make any appearance for the First team this season because he was sent to the youth team. The hierarchy of the West London club believes that Gabriel Slonina will be Chelsea's number 1 Goalkeeper in the future but, he couldn't get any chance this season because of Edouard Mendy and Kepa Arrizabalaga.
With the Possible exit of Kepa Arrizabalaga and Edouard Mendy, and the potential transfer of Emi Martinez, Gabriel Slonina will take a step closer to becoming a first team Player for Chelsea next season.
