Arsenal Captain Aubameyang's form has declined- Darren Bent
Aubameyang has dropped form since signing a new contract with Arsenal according to former Premier League Star Darren Bent.
The Gabon international is struggling to find the back of the net in this current EPL season compared to last term. And Bent is concerned about the dip-inform of the Arsenal captain stating that goals boost the confidence level of any striker and failure to score goals in the league is a major threat to Arsenal and Aubameyang this season.
Aubameyang signed a new three-year contract with the Gunners last month in a deal worth around £250, 000 per week with the Emirates Stadium outfit. He has only scored one premier league goal this season against Fulham on the opening day.
On Sunday, the 2015 African Fotballer of the year played 90 minutes of football in Arsenal's 1-0 home loss to Leicester City but failed to threaten goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel with no shot on target.
"There has been a drop-off", Bent said on talk sport.
" you look at his form in the semi-final and the final of the FA Cup last season, the Community Shield against Liverpool and his Performance against Fulham - he was arguably one of the bes strikers in the Premier League, probably the best.
"But since he signed a new contract, I might be a Coincidence, but he's looked a shadow of himself.
Aubameyang came off the bench last week thursday in the Europa League tie against Austrian side Rapid Wien to incite a 2-1 comeback win.
He will be expected to play a part when the Gunners host Dundalk for next European fixture on thursday before they battle Manchester United in the Premier League on 1st of November 2020.
