The last time Chelsea faced Southampton was on 17th october 2020,the 3-3 result was a disapointment for Chelsea because they were 2-0 up before the saints buckled up and made it a draw. That was a remarkable day for Timo Werner, the German striker scored 2 wonderful goals from open play.
Chelsea fans also saw his full potential that same day and that is why they have supported him throughout the bad times.
The blues would also travel to St. Marys stadium to play the saints today,a win will see them closer to the 2nd/3rd spot of EPL table depending on the results of Manutd and Leicester city.
It will also be a good stuff if Timo Werner scores again especially now that he is gradually getting back to form.
Werner ended his 100 days goal drought against Newcastle by bagging in a wonderful bicycle kick. Werner is such a good striker but things have not yet fallen in place for him. He is struggling to score due to slow adaptation to EPL.
There is a possibility that he will still come out as Chelsea's most scoring player this season.
