Super Eagles of Nigeria forward maestro and former Manchester United star, Odion Jude Ighalo was incredible yesterday for Saudi Professional Football League Champion Al-Hilal in their 27th league game of the current campaign away from home against Damac at the Prince Sultan bin Abdul Aziz Stadium.
The 33 year old Nigerian international retained his spot in his team's starting XI line-up having been considered as a key figure in the squad, and he was able to play his part and also contributed his quota in the thrilling and keenly contested encounter.
Odion Jude Ighalo was outstanding for the visitor at the heart of the attacking line with his impactful minutes spent on the pitch of play, where he created a couple of chances which were instrumental in the hard-fought victory.
The first half of the game hanged on the balance with nothing separating the two sides going into the half time break which ended goalless draw.
The visitor in the second half of the game were able to emerge as the dominant side thereby stepped up their game with some more incredible style of play which got them the lead in the 70th minute, courtesy of the opening goal from Moussa Marega to make it one nil.
After every other attempts from both sides to add more to the tally of the night, all were not successful as it ended one nil at full time in favour of the visitor.
Odion Jude Ighalo with his level of delivery in the show of the night will be hoping to maintain the standard for his team with every optimism to return to his goal scoring form in their next game, as they continue their pursuit in the current campaign.
