The Nigerian Professional Football League table changed after Rivers United got a narrow win over Katsina United. The win helped Rivers United move to 4th position while Kwara United moved down to 5th position.
Dakkada FC's draw with Enugu Rangers helped them go above MFM FC who occupy 12th position. Dakkada FC has garnered 37 points after playing 28 matches.
Enyimba and Nasarawa United played 0-0 while Ifeanyi Ubah United defeated Heartland Owerri 2-1. Lukman Aliu and Nonso Nzediegu scored for Ifeanyi Ubah while Maduforo Kingsley scored for the visitors.
Jigawa Golden Stars beat Ahmed Musa's Kano Pillars 1-0. The win helped them move farther away from the relegation zone as they are now 15th on the standings.
Lobi Stars walloped Kwara United 2-0. I don't think Kwara United saw it coming as all efforts to score were abortive.
Plateau United beat Warri Wolves 2-0 while Sunshine Stars managed to get a 2-1 victory over Abia Warriors. Despite the win, Sunshine Stars is still landlocked in the danger zone. They will need to improve if they must escape relegation.
