UEFA Champions League

The Key area that Chelsea needs to improve on as they prepare to face Juventus in Turin

Thomas Tuchel and his Chelsea Squad left London for Italy on Tuesday afternoon. The Blues travelled to the Italian capital in preparation for their second Champions League clash. Italian Giant Juventus will host Chelsea on Wednesday evening at the Allianz Stadium.

Both Chelsea and Juventus are the muscle of their group and it's expected that the winner and the runner up of their group will be among the two Clubs.

In their opening game of the European competition, Juventus thrashed Malmo 3-0 thanks to Goals from Alex Sandro, Paulo Dybala and Alvaro Morata. Chelsea also secured a victory in their First game of the 2021/22 UEFA Champions League. The Blues beat Russian outfit Zenit St Petersburg by a lone goal thanks to Romelu Lukaku's second half bullet header.

Going into the match, Chelsea have an advantage over the Biaconnerri. The Maximiliano Allegri's side will be without their attacking duo. Both Paulo Dybala and Alvaro Morata picked up an injury in Juventus's last Match.

Thomas Tuchel will also be without N'Golo Kante who couldn't travel with the rest of group because of his illness but Chelsea's Midfield is well stocked with the likes of Mateo Kovavic, Jorginho, Saul Niguez and Ruben Loftus-Cheek who are all available for selection against Juventus.

However, there are some key areas that Thomas Tuchel needs to work on as Chelsea prepares to face the Italian club. In their first game against Zenit St Petersburg, Chelsea fired 11 shots and only 2 of them were on target. Luckily for the blues, all they needed against Zenit was just one shot that finds it's way into the net.

Mason Mount and Kai Havertz haven't really been of much help to Lukaku since they have been starting beside him. Perhaps it's time for Thomas Tuchel to try any approach in his attack.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek is another player that has earned himself a starting spot against Juventus. The England international performed brilliantly against Aston Villa last week in the EFL Cup. He was also impressive against Manchester City when he came on as a substitute during the second half in Chelsea defeat against the Citizens at Stamford bridge.
