CAFCC: Super Eagles Striker Backs Enyimba To Overcome Pyramids Challenge

Super Eagles B forward, Tosin Omoyele has backed his team, Enyimba International for a win as they face Egyptian League top side, Pyramids FC in the quarterfinals of the CAF Confederation Cup.

The People’s Elephant and Pyramids will lock horns at the the 30 June Stadium as they wrestle for the maximum three points in the first leg of the knockout phase of the second tier CAF competition which will kick off by 5pm later this evening.

Having played in the Egyptian League during a short stint with, Nogoom FC where he tasted about 822 minutes of action scoring two goals and one assist, the Super Eagles B striker who has now pitch his tent with the most successful club believes his team will be victorious at the end of 90 minutes in Cairo.

Speaking via a telephone conversation from Cairo, Omoyele said: “Well, it is going to be another difficult game as usual because all the teams at this stage are very good.

“We are here at this stage because we made up our mind as a team that it’s CAF Confederation Cup or nothing and I think that has kept us in the competition so far and we just have to keep going till will get to the final.

“To an extent, I think I’m familiar with Egyptian Club, they are very fast, calculative and they can be dangerous in the attack but I think we will curtail them because this isn’t the time we are playing a team from Egypt.”

A victory for the Nigerian team this evening and in the return leg scheduled, to take place next weekend in Aba, will propel them in advancing to the semifinals of prestigious CAF Confederation Cup.
