Cristiano Ronaldo has just been revealed by the Premier League as the Player of the month of September in the Premier League. This is the Portuguese's first month back in the PL and he has bagged 3 goals already in 4 appearances which have partly earned this prestigious award.
The player of the month is an award certified to the most outstanding player only in the Premier League that month and Cristiano Ronaldo has been given this award for his performances from September 1st-31st.
Ronaldo so far has 3 goals in the Premier League for Man United, 5 goals in all competitions, 10 big chances created in the Premier League and also pulling off 7 shots on target.
In the defending department, the 36-year-old has also done his bit with 2 tackles won so far, 2 aerial duels won and 3 successful interceptions all in the Premier League only.
Meanwhile, Lionel Messi's PSG start has had a rather dull beginning and despite the Argentine's stunner against Man City in the Champions League, the 34-year-old is still yet to click with his new club.
Messi has registered no goals yet in the Ligue 1. The closest he has come to scoring was hitting the woodwork of the goal post twice. He jas two shots on target and 5 big chances created. In the defence department, he has completed two tackles successfully, one aerial duel won and one interception so far.
Who has performed better between these two? Well, in my opinion, Ronaldo has always quickly adapted to the Premier League than Messi has in the French League. We have seen how Ronaldo excels in all the clubs he has been to, becoming a legend whilst leaving his mark with them.
Meanwhile, this is Messi's first move ever in his football career. It is understandable for his slow adaptation and maybe the team itself hasn't just clicked with so many stars as options. For the now, Ronaldo is leading Lionel Messi by..let's say..half a mile.
