Liverpool will be 10 points off first if they lost to Manchester City on Sunday. Jurgen Klopp's side have remarkably lost back-to-back home league matches without scoring for the first time since 2012. That coming after a remarkable 68-game unbeaten run at Anfield in the Premier League. They haven't lost three home league matches in a row without scoring in the last 100 years.
Manchester City have really clicked into gear of late with 13 straight wins in all competitions. Pep Guardiola's side are actually unbeaten across their last 20 and have remarkably kept 16 clean sheets in that time. They look nailed on for the title this season and a win away to Liverpool would surely secure it.
Liverpool are incredibly unbeaten in their last 17 home league matches with City, last suffering defeat on home soil to the Citizens in 2013. City won't get a better chance to undo that record than now. Given Liverpool's current woes, it's hard to look beyond an away victory.
Prediction: man city to win.
Real Betis' excellent run of form came to an end last time out as they were eliminated from the Copa del Rey at the hands of Athletic Club.
In LaLiga, Manuel Pellegrini's side have avoided defeat in their last five, taking 11 points from their last 15.
Barcelona are on a five-game winning run in all competitions and progressed into the next round of the Copa del Rey in the week after a 5-3 extra-time thriller against Granada.
Prediction: Barcelona to win
Sheffield United looked doomed only a few weeks ago but have rallied superbly in recent weeks with three Premier League wins from their last five, only losing to Tottenham and Manchester City in that time.
Results were so poor for Sheffield United at the start of the season, however, that they are still 11 points from safety before a ball has been kicked this weekend. They still have a lot of hard work to do to beat the drop.
Chelsea have won their first three matches under Thomas Tuchel. The German is the first Chelsea manager since Jose Mourinho in his first stint to kickstart his tenure with three straight clean sheets.
This match will follow a similar pattern to Tuchel's first three matches. Chelsea will see an awful lot of the ball. Expect another victory for Chelsea as they edge closer to the top four.
Prediction: Chelsea to win
Athletic have lost just two games since Marcelino has taken charge of the club, with both of those matches coming in narrow scorelines against Barcelona.
Last time out at home, Los Leones recorded an emphatic 5-1 victory against Getafe.
Valencia have lost just one of their last five league matches, with that solitary loss coming against table-topping Atletico Madrid.
Prediction: Home team to win.
