Ranking Top 5 Best Clubs in London by EFL Cup 3rd Round Performance

England's capital city London is often referred to as the capital of English football, having a reputation for being the United Kingdom city with the most football clubs.

There are 17 professional football clubs reportedly located in different regions of the English capital city London. In this article, we will be ranking the top five best clubs in the city by their performance in the third round of the EFL Cup also known as the Carabao Cup.

5. CHELSEA F.C

Chelsea hosted Aston Villa at Stamford Bridge in the third round of the EFL Cup and the match ended in a 1-1 draw for both sides proceeding to a penalty shootout in which the host defeated the visitors with a 5-4 penalty scoreline.

4. QUEENS PARK RANGERS

The Championship club Queens Park Rangers hosted the premier league club Everton FC at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium for the third round of the Carabao Cup.

Though the match ended in a 2-2 draw for both sides, QPR went on to beat the EPL 8-7 in a penalty shootout which saw them qualify for the fourth round of the tournament.

3. TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR

Tottenham was hosted by their EPL league rivals Wolverhampton Wanderers for the third round of the EFL and the match ended in a 2-2 draw for both sides.

Spurs qualified for the fourth round of the tournament after a 2-3 victory over Wolves in penalty shootouts.

2. ARSENAL F.C

Arsenal hosted their city rivals Wimbledon at Emirates Stadium in the 3rd round of the EFL Cup and qualified for the fourth round after a 3-0 win for the English League One club.

1. BRENTFORD F.C

Brentford is enjoying a magnificent start to their football campaign and has been one of the best clubs in England this season.

They qualified for the fourth round of the Carabao Cup in style, with an impressive 7-0 victory over the English League Two club Oldham Athletic.
