Arsenal will be up against Manchester City in the FA Cup Semi-Final on Saturday, and the Gunners boss Mikel Arteta will be relying a lot on his talisman Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has been the most important player for the Gunners in the attacking front, and has racked up 23 goals this season. And his manager Mikel Arteta is tipping him to perform well against Manchester City as well, in the FA Cup semi-final.
Speaking ahead of the match, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta said that he believes that Aubameyang will deliver and praised the ,pressure handling capability of the player.
Aubameyang started from, the bench against Liverpool
“I think he handles the pressure really well,” he said to Arsenal’s official website. “It is part of his character that he, is so relaxed and confident about himself.
“I think the fact he is able to sustain ,that level of pressure and still deliver every single year, scoring the amount of goals that he does, tells you everything about, how he responds and how he enjoys challenges. I am sure he will be ready on Saturday.”
Aubameyang, though predominantly a striker, has been used in the left-wing by Mikel Arteta. And the Spanish manager says that he will keep on rotating the player at different positions to enhance, his threat to the opponents. Arteta added that Aubameyang suits better at the left-wing which compliments the style that Arsenal play.
“But he has played different positions, a few times, and he will keep moving from time to time into different areas to cause difficulties to the opponent,” he added.
Arteta will be reuniting again with his mentor Pep Guardiola on Saturday. And ahead of match, the Arsenal manager says that City do have some weaknesses ,on which they will have to capitalize.
“Like any other team, they have some weaknesses as you mentioned, and as well, it’s about stopping their strengths, which they have a lot of. This is part of any gameplan, it’s not about City or any other opponent that we’re facing, and on Saturday we will do exactly the same,” Arteta concluded.
