Now that the summer transfer window has been officially opened, severeal European football clubs will be looking into the transfer market in order to get players who can improve their current squad.
Manchester United football club have been quite active so far this summer as they bid to challenge on all fronts next season and finally break their four-year trophyless run.
The 26-year-old Germany International, who joined Bayern Munich after leaving Schalke 04 in 2018 has been an important member of the squad over the past seasons.
However, Leon Goretzka has less than a year left on his current contract at the Allianz Arena and having failed to reach an agreement over a new contract, he could be on his way out of the club next summer.
And according to reports from Daily Mail, Manchester United are ready to pounce and have submitted a concrete £200k-a-week offer to sign him on a free transfer next year.
Manchester United are well aware of their need to improve their options in midfield and view Leon Goretzka as a needed addition to the squad.
Do remember that the experienced midfield had an impressive 2020/2021 season. He scored eight goals and provided nine assists as Bayern Munich won the Bundesliga.
