Man Utd vs Liverpool: Salah is the most selfish player I have ever seen – Souness

Graeme Souness, a Sky Sports pundit, has described Liverpool's Mohamed Salah as "the most selfish player I've ever seen."

Salah has established himself as one of Europe's most prolific forwards since joining Liverpool in 2017.

In 214 games for the Reds, the Egyptian has 137 goals.

Salah has scored 12 goals in the current season, earning Jurgen Klopp's praise as the "greatest player in the world."

Souness, on the other hand, has supplied his own perspective on his performance.

“Mohamed Salah has been the finest player in the world this season, and I agree with Jurgen Klopp.

“He's possibly the most hungry player I've ever seen. Every household name has a hint of it, but he is particularly egotistical.

"Personal goals are essential to him, and he shoots from any angle imaginable, which might upset his teammates, particularly Mane. Because he is so skilled, the other players tolerate it.

"When he doesn't square it, he's either scoring or forcing goalkeepers to work such that the follow-up is a tap-in for someone, making it difficult to criticize him."

Souness remarked in the UK Times, "He may even take it as a compliment that I think he is the most selfish player I have seen since he is a goal machine."
