Unlike previous seasons where Chelsea sends most of their Academy graduates on loan deals, Most of the players are now leaving permanently. Myles Harris, Marc Guehi , Jamal Blackman, Fikayo Tomori have all departed the Club permanently.
Another Academy graduate has completed a permanent move to EPL rivals Southampton. The official announcement was made this evening. Dynel Simeu joined Chelsea in 2015 and has played in every levels of their development team.
At the midpoint of the 2020/21 season Dynel Simeu had captained and played the duration in all development squad games in all competitions.
Dynel Simeu contract with Chelsea ended in June and the Centerback refused to sign an improved Contract. He wants to play senior football which is not available right now at Chelsea. He has now officially joined Southampton which was where he originated from.
