Liverpool Come from behind on dramatic opening night to claim Champions League Group B win

Report on Liverpool's triumph in Group B on the first night; Liverpool take the lead thanks to a Tomori own goal before Mo Salah misses a penalty, but Milan take the lead at halftime thanks to Rebic and Diaz. In the second half, Salah and Henderson both scored to give Liverpool the victory.

Liverpool beat AC Milan 3-2 in a thrilling opening-night Champions League Group B match thanks to Jordan Henderson's spectacular finish.

Liverpool scored early on through Fikayo Tomori's own goal following a Trent Alexander-Arnold cross (9), before Mo Salah's penalty was saved by Mike Maignan (14), his first miss in 17 appearances for Liverpool.

Ante Rebic's neat finish (42) and then former Man City man Brahim Diaz's tap-in (44) from two similarly scorching bursts stunned Anfield at half-time.

Salah equalized just after the break (48), poking home Divock Origi's clever chip over the defense, and Jordan Henderson completed Liverpool's comeback with an exquisite half-volley from 20 yards (69) from a cleared corner.

The result, combined with Atletico Madrid's 0-0 draw against Porto, puts Liverpool in a strong position in Group B, with Porto hosting Liverpool on September 28. Jurgen Klopp's team is unbeaten in all competitions this season, and has gone 14 games without losing.
