Why Mourinho Should Consider Switching To 3-5-2 Formation At Roma

In Roma's last game before the international break, Mourinho deployed a 3-5-2 formation in the game against Venezia, despite the loss they sustained in that game, it was a welcome development, and one Mourinho should consider changing to.

It's a formation that Mourinho rarely uses, depending on a more composed, and balanced style of approach, by using a 4-5-1 formation, but with Tammy Abraham recent form, Mourinho should be considering changing his formation to accommodate another striker into the team.

Roma has the players who can execute this formation perfectly, and should they get their rumored target, in Diogo Dalot, then they can easily switch to this formation.

The only problem they might encounter is the wingers, because if Mourinho were to switch to this formation, then Zaniolo, Mkhitaryan, and El Shaarawy game time would be minimal.

Most of the players are used to playing three at the back, Fonseca used the formation most times, while he was Roma coach, so the players should have no problem adapting to the formation.

Roma's next game after the international break, would be against relegation threatened Genoa, and let's see how Mourinho would set his team up, whether he would continue with his usual (4-5-1), or switch to a (3-5-2) formation.
