The World’s Most Expensive Bottle of Water Costs $60,000 (#21,810,000)
In case you missed it the first time the story broke, the most expensive water in the world is sold in a 750ml 24-carat solid gold bottle that retails for €60,000– or about $72,000 USD.
Outrageous, right? We couldn’t believe it ourselves, so we’d figure we’d share the details so you can add this to your trivia knowledge:
Acqua di Cristallo Tributo a Modigliani— also known as the “Most Expensive Bottle of Water in the World” according to the Guiness Book of World Records— is as fancy as the name suggests.
One bottle of Acqua di Cristallo Tributo a Modigliani water, above shown, costs $60,000.
The water is sourced from France and Fiji (two points literally on opposite sides of the globe, which likely adds to the cost) and is sold in a bottle designed by Fernando Altamirano of Tequila Ley (the same guy who designed the Cognac Dudognon Heritage Henri IV bottle, which is the most expensive bottle of cognac in the world).
