While some people are making millions of naira from gambling and betting, some lose their property to the game after betting with their most expensive possession.
Recently, a man identified as Steven Ken Damola lamented on his Facebook page that he brought up the popular betting site, BetNaija to his house owner but ended up in tears and homelessness for the both of them.
Steven, a Yoruba man as his third name suggests, who lives in Abuja according to his profile details on Facebook said that instead of BetNaija to benefit him and his landlord, it rather made him lose his home and his landlord lose his house.
“I introduced my landlord to Bet9ja and we are both homeless now.” Steven posted on Facebook.
As the matter of fact, the betting sites either make or mar a man. Whenever you place your bet, be looking forward to winning or losing.
However, many of Steven's followers reacted differently to his statement. Instead of sympathizing with him, they were rather mocking him for going against the Bible's teachings.
And some of them were counting his post as a joke and social media hype.
Have you ever had such an experience with the betting sites before?
