MTN is the First Telecommunication Company in West Africa To Launch the eSIM

When it comes to Telecommunication within the Africa continent, MTN happens to be a force to reckon with. With the Telecommunication company offering its services to millions of users in 21 countries. Now the South African Based Company are the first Telecommunication company in West Africa to introduce the use of eSIM. No other Telecommunication company in West Africa has done it.

The dynamic nature of Technology has seen Telecommunication companies advance within the shortest intervals, from Macro SIM to Micro SIM and down to Nano SIM, I am sure everyone thought that was the last draw but obviously it seems like they are just getting started as now they have introduced embedded SIM (e-SIM).

embedded SIM is the big move in the evolution of Subscriber Identity Modules (SIM cards). The eSIM has been designed to deliver unprecedented freedom and flexibility.

The eSIM is quite different from the regular SIM that are being inserted in mobile devices and carried about, instead they are already inside the device, smartphone or wearable. Yeah you heard me! They don't have to be insert an eSIM into your phone as it is already built into your smartphone, device or wearable.

All you need to do is simply activate the eSIM with your account profile and you are ready to enjoy all the services you normally would with a physical SIM. It's super easy and quite handy plus you can have two numbers on one eSIM, so you don't need to Carry about two SIM cards all you just need to do is get one eSIM and assign both numbers to it.

The eSIM comes with a whole lot of advantages over the regular SIM and there are a lot of benefits which are attached to the eSIM.

Firstly, the eSIM eliminates the issue of SIM cutting inorder for you to use your SIM in a device that's got a different SIM size.

Secondly, Remember I said the eSIM allows you to have more than one phone number associated to your smart phone or device, This information would be particularly useful for people who want to manage personal and business lines at the same time. The eSIM gives you that privilege to do so however the eSIM can only be used on certain devices because only a few smart phones have the eSIM installed in them. Here are a few of them listed below:

Google Pixel 3, Google 3 XL, Google Pixel 4, google 4 XL

Apple iPhone 11, 11 Pro, 11 Pro Max, iPhone XS, XS Max, iPhone XR

Samsung S20 Series

Thirdly, The eSIM eliminates the possibility of losing or damaging your SIM to a minimal extent because it is built into your device.

Lastly, It is extremely convenient for frequent travelers, making it easier to switch between network operators. So you don't need to bother about network operators whenever you travel all you have to do is have a switch when you are in another zone or country and you're good to go, simple and easy.
