Clearing the E16 error message on your Dstv/Gotv has been made very easy by Multichoice. The E16 error message/notification that you get or notice on your T.V screens is usually as a result of an expired subscription. It becomes a problem when when you see the E16 error message despite the fact that you've renewed your subscription.
Sometimes the real reason why this happens is because when you were making the payments, the decoder was sas possibly turned off, and if that is the case, activating the subscription might be delayed.
Thanks to Multichoice, you can now fix the E16 error message as soon as possible without panicking.
Step 1: Text Message
Dstv, send Reset "smartcard number" to 30333
Gotv, send Reset "iuc number" to 30333
Step 2: Online
Dstv, log on to Dstv's Easy portal, Enter your smartcard number, enter the captcha, then click clear error code.
Gotv, log on to Gotv's Easy portal, Enter your iuc number, enter the captcha, then click clear error code.
After doing any of these simple tricks, you can now sit back and enjoy your cable subscription.
