5G is the fifth generation of cellular networks, it is the planned successor to the 4G networks which is being used in most current cellphones. 5G network is the next great leap in speed for wireless devices. This speed includes both the rate at which mobile users can download data.
5G aims to deliver data rates at speed 10 to 100 times faster than the present 4G networks. As said by an Electrical Engineering professor 'just for example, at gigabytes per second rates, you can download any movie of your choice into your phone within seconds' Isn't that a good thing to hear?
Although the 5G network will improve our everyday lives, it also poses some bad threats in our everyday lives as well. 5G uses higher energy millimeter-wave radiation which can damage skin cells and cause alterations in our DNA. It also causes radiation sickness, burns, cancer and disruption of the cell metabolism.
