Twitter is one of the most widely used social platforms in the world but it had enough to deal with on Wednesday.
There was a reversed engineering (hacking) spree which affected many accounts including that of Billionaire Microsoft founder, Bill Gates and Billionaire Technology Guru, Elon musk who is also the CEO of Tesla.
Their personal verified accounts having quite an ample number of followers tweeted about Bitcoins payment which wasn't initiated by them. The tweet were intended to lure unsuspecting victims into paying virtual cash into hackers' account through a link provided.
Below are pictures of Bill Gates and Elon Musk's official Twitter handles which were hacked and used to lure the public into paying virtual monies to an unintended recipient.
The company's official handle hopped in at the height of the downtime to announce it was officially having issues and another user warned users not to click on any link that looked suspicious.
Twitter which is a mini blog and definitely one of the most used social platforms is used by millions of people across the world.
Twitter's CEO Jack Dorsey will definitely be demanding answers from his security team.
