The rate at which technology advances each day is quite alarming. We have different types of sim cards e.g Mini, Micro, and Nano sims.

I am sure we know that the latest phones that are launched are compatible with nano sim.

Recently, it was announced that the latest invention of the sim(subscriber identity modules) which is E-sim would soon be launched. 

The E-sim(embedded sim) is a type of sim that can't be seen. It does not require that you have to buy the sim and insert it into your phone. It is a type of sim that has been programmed into compatible phones. This simply means that it does not work with all phones. It makes it easier, and safer in such a way that your sim can't be lost or stolen. Another advantage of the E-sim is that you can have many phone numbers, so there is no limit to your phone number. The E-sim does not require that you have to cut it into a specific size before it can be inserted into your mobile device. The sim also provides you with a fast internet service.

The only requirement to enjoy the services of E-sim is that you need to activate it with your mobile device only if they are compatible. 

As of today, 16th of July, 2020, MTN announced the one year trial of this new invention of the sim. Therefore, if you have a mobile device that is compatible with the new invention of the sim, you just have to visit your nearby network operator office to check if your network operator and mobile device are compatible. As soon as you have confirmed that your phone and network operator is compatible, you will ask for the help of the customer service to help you achieve it with your compatible device.

(1) The three series of Apple iPhone 11 which are Apple iPhone 11, 11 pros, and the 11 pro max.

(2) The two series of Google Pixel 3 which are Google Pixel 3, and 3xl.

(3) The two series of Google Pixel 4 which are Google Pixel 4, and 4xl.

(4) The Samsung S20 series which are S20, S20+, and S20 ultra.

The invention of the E-sim is a welcome development. I am sure that, it would reduce the risk at which fraudsters access our personal information through our sim card.
