On Wednesday night, the Twitter account of top personals were hacked. These personals include Barack Obama, Kim Kardashian, Elo Musk, Bill Gate, Jeff Bezos, Twitter support and more.
The hacker who posted on Barack Obama's page" I am giving back to my community due to covid-19! All bit coin sent to the address below will be doubled. If you send $1000, I will send back $2000! Only doing this for 30 minutes! Enjoy."
Also posted on Bill Gate's page "Everyone is asking me to give back, and now is the time. I am doubling all payments sent to my BTC address for the next 30minutes. You send $1000, I will send back $2,000. Only going on for 30minutes! Enjoy!"
Posted something similar on Jeff Bezos, Kim Kardashian's page.
Many called it money heist as lots of bitcoins were being transferred to the wallet.
Moreover, some blamed people who transferred Bitcoin to the wallet, claiming it was out greed.
These has raised great questions concerning the security of Twitter. If top verified account are being hacked, then is Twitter still considered to be safe.
