About a month ago, a student of Federal university otuoke, Bayelsa state popularly known as Nezie Obi (Samuel Obi Favor) currently in 300 level of the department of Economics and development studies was harrassed by the host community due to a fictional post he made on Facebook
Nezie Obi who loved writing fictional works of art was accused of defaming the host community. The Host community also alleged that the fictional character in the post matched the description of a certain lady. After the post went viral on facebook. He was summoned to the community town hall he was said to have being threatened with knives and matchetes, beaten to stupor and his human rights violated. After the events he was hospitalized and he treated himself with his own money, After all efforts to resolve the issue peacefully by the SUG proved fruitless. He decided to file a 20million naira law suit against the host community
The case has not yet being assigned a date
please do you think 20million naira is too much? Or should they have settled peacefully?
