You read right and there is no mistake. The lakes are pink. The color pink is a beautiful color loved by the majority of women and some men too. The fact that many of us love nature for its beauty will make these lakes appealing to us. What's more, there is one in Africa too.

Here are the seven pink lakes in the world.

The lake is said to be located on Middle Island which is off the coast of the Western side of Australia. The Hillier Lake is quite small, it has a length of about 600 meters, while its width is also about 250 meters.

The lake is very salty, and it does not house organisms like fish and other marine creatures. However, It is said to be safe to swim in the lake, but tourists are not allowed to do so. It also changes color depending on the time of the day and the season of the year.

The second pick lake in the is article is the Dusty Rose Lake which is located near Bella Coola nation, near the Thunder Mountain in British Columbia, Canada.

The lake is said to be the only fresh water pink lake in the world. However, unlike other lakes which get their color salt or algae, the Dusty Rose Lake gets its color is caused by the particulate in the glacial melt waters feeding it.

It is in Valencia, Spain. Like other lakes with this unique color difference, bathing in it is not allowed.

Hutt Lagoon is a marine salt lake located quite close to the Indian Ocean coast, which is 2 kilometers north of the mouth of the Hutt River, in the Mid West region of Western Australia.

The lake does change color from time to time. Sometimes bubblegum pink, other times lilac and occasionally red. It's an absolute fascinating sight to behold.

7. Laguna Colorado.

The Laguna Colorado lake is found in Bolivia. It's close to the country's border with Chile. The shallow salt lake is located in the southwest of the Altiplano of Bolivia. The lake is another wonder if nature.

The water color does not remain in place all day as it changes slightly from time to time. It is orange red in the early morning of a day before becoming more red and blue as the day goes by to become pinkish red at evening.

One major thing about the majority of the lakes in this article is that they have high salt concentration. The high salt concentration is caused by the salina which makes the water pinkish.
