Human beings love to travel a lot, some love to visit the museum, tourist centres and weird and cosy environment but there are places in this world that we are not allowed to visit. Not just 5 places but there are a lot of places that are forbidden to visitors except you’re a researcher or a daredevil willing to part with your health or life in some cases.
This place is located at the Andaman Islands, in the Bay of Bengal and it's one the most forbidden place to visit in the world. The island is surrounded by a heavy forest and coral reefs with no natural harbours.
Finding a harbour is very tough because the island is said to be allegedly occupied by the Sentinelese, an indigenous people in voluntary isolation who have rejected, often violently, any contact with the outside world.
I know many people don't know that there are people on earth that doesn't want communication with the outside world and Sentinelese are is the last tribal people to remain virtually untouched by modern civilisation.
According to a report in 2006, two fishermen who illegally entered the island for fishing in prohibited waters were killed by the Sentinelese when their boat drifted too close to the island.
Also in November 2018, it was reported that a 23-year-old American missionary John Allen Chau was killed during a trip to the forbidden island, planning to preach Christianity to the Sentinelese.
2 Snake Island
This island is located on the coast of Brazil and it's officially named the Ilha da Queimada Grande.
According to researchers, the snake island is believed to a population of over 430,000 snakes but recent estimates suggest that there is one snake in each square meter of the island.
The island is the only home of the critically endangered, venomous Bothrops insularis (golden lancehead pit viper), one of the deadliest and venomous snakes in the world.
However, the snake island is very closed to the public (where the human being lives). This is to protect both people and the snake population and no one is allowed to visit the snake island.
The only people that have access to the island is the Brazilian Navy and selected researchers vetted by the Chico Mendes Institute for Biodiversity Conservation, the Brazilian federal conservation unit.
3 Svalbard Global Seed Vault
This Global Seed Vault is located on the Norwegian island of Spitsbergen and is then considered the most secured seed bank in the world.
The main reason for building the seed bank vault is to provide a safety and backup net in the event of accidental loss of diversity in traditional genebanks due to mismanagement, accident, equipment failures, funding cuts, natural disasters, regional or global catastrophe.
The bank facility is about 11,000-square-foot and is very secured and protected with modern and advanced security features. The facility is strictly limited to a handful of employees.
The seed vault functions like a safe deposit box in a bank where the bank owns the building and the depositor owns the contents of his or her box.
