The Most Luxurious Cruise Ship In The World

The ship’s masterpiece is the 412-square metre Regent Suite. The two-bedroom suite comes with an in-room spa (and unlimited complimentary treatments), a US$250,000 Steinway piano, and a glass-enclosed sitting area providing views over the ship’s bow. And to ensure a good night’s sleep, there’s a custom-made bed that took one year to construct (rumour has it the Queen of England has the same bed).

Guests are welcomed on board by two etched glass staircases and a cascading crystal chandelier.

The Explorer of the Seas is a luxury cruise liner launched by Royal Caribbean International. At night, Explorer of the Seas offers Broadway-style revues at the 4-deck Palace. Bar venues offer various musical performances aimed to please everybody at any time with classical guitar, jazz and country. Beyond the usual, where this cruise vessel excels is the unique, like Studio B ice rink which hosts ice skating show "Ice Planet" with falling "snow" - worth the effort to get a ticket (free of charge but the venue is tiny, so tickets are limited). Another unusual activity is the rock-climbing wall competition. And while the Royal Promenade is the spot for a street-fair atmosphere, the intimate spaces for quiet time onboard include the Aquarium Bar, with nice tanks with 56 tons of saltwater and variety of tropical fish; the nautical-themed Schooner Bar and Seven Hearts Card Room.

It’s a big claim to declare a ship the most luxurious ever built. I think I agree.
