The leadership of ISWAP has decided to end their rift with the Boko Haram group to work together against their common enemy. The reunion came a few weeks after the leader of the Boko Haram group, Abubakar Shekau, reportedly committed suicide to avoid being captured by the ISWAP.
Following a recent peace accord between the two groups, top commanders of Boko Haram and the Islamic State of West Africa Province (ISWAP) have agreed to collaborate in jihad. The talks took place one month after Abubakar Shekau, a former Boko Haram member, blew himself up during a brutal clash with ISWAP.
Gallant Nigerian Army troops over the weekend repelled an attack by Islamic State West African Province (ISWAP) on Banki town in Bama Local Government Area of Borno State killing scores of terrorists. According to the terrorists in a 13-minute video procured by PR Nigeria, they consented allegiance to each other, while they positioned their hands on one another while making an oath of patriotism to be together in the pursuit of establishing a jihadist caliphate.
