Six Days To Go, President Buhari Fails to Dissolve Cabinet, Issues Fresh Directive to Ministers
President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday, May 24, failed to dissolve his cabinet, a few days before the May 29 handover ceremony. Many had expected that the president would dissolve his cabinet at the Valedictory Federal Executive Council Meeting which he chaired in Abuja today, Wednesday.

Remain in office till May 29, Buhari tells Ministers
President Muhammadu Buhari has reportedly requested that all of his cabinet members stay on until the final day of his term in office. On May 29, 2023, Buhari will hand over power to Bola Tinubu, who will thereafter assume the presidency. The president reportedly dismissed his cabinet at the final meeting of the Federal Executive Council (FEC).
