The cordial relationship that exists between Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, and his Akwa Ibom State counterpart, Emmanuel Udom, has been of tremendous benefit to the Peoples Democratic Party in the South-South region. The continuous dominance of the party in the region can be attributed to the smooth relationship between the two governors.
Mr. Rotimi Amaechi, who hails from Ikwerre Local Government Area of Rivers State, is one of the top noble politicians in the country. He has occupied at least three key offices in his political career. He has been at the realm of politics since 1999. And he doesn't appear to leave the stage soon.
Former Rivers State Governor Rotimi Amaechi may not get a better chance if he doesn't use the available one. There are two important things he can do to launch himself to prominence and power while the national leader of the APC is still in London. Even now is the time for Amaechi to act.
