Senator Ali Ndume, the lawmaker representing Borno South senatorial district, has revealed that President Bola Tinubu has endorsed his colleague Senator Godswill Akpabio to be the next Senate President. Speaking while featuring on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Wednesday, Ndume said Tinubu also told him to spearhead Akpabio’s campaign and ensure he becomes the number three citizen.

Reports trickling down the media reveals that the Senator representing Borno South in the National Assembly, Senator Ali Ndume, said President Bola Ahmed Tinubu told him to lead the campaign for Senator Godswill Akpabio to win in his ambition to be the next Senate President of Nigeria. Speaking further, he revealed that Tinubu told him that Senator Godswill Akpabio is his preferred candidate for the Senate President and that he is convinced Tinubu won't change his mind.
