Why Tukur Buratai's Meeting With Benin Republic President Might Be A Sign Sunday Igboho May Be Extradited
It appears that we are likely to see a new dimension as it concerns the arrest of Sunday Igboho in Cotonou and the serious moves by the Nigerian government to have him extradited to Nigeria. Today, the Nigerian Ambassador to Benin Republic, former Chief of Army Staff, General Tukur Buratai met with the President of Benin Republic.
Former Chief of Army Staff, and Nigeria Ambassador to the Republic of Benin, Tukur Yusuf Buratai, has always been loyal to President Buhari and Nigeria. The retired Army Lieutenant General is one of the prominent Nigerians who will always stand up against any person or organization that seeks to disintegrate Nigeria.
During the tenure of former Nigeria's Chief of Army Staff, Mr Tukur Buratai has contributed immensely to the fight against the dreaded Boko Haram terrorists. This is as a result of his efforts, tactics and strategies adopted by the troops. These tactics include the creation of military camps in areas considered as extremely hostile territories.
Sunday Igboho should obey the order given by TY Buratai and return to Nigeria if he wishes to live in peace and not be under tension whenever he travels outside the country. It is not news that TY Buratai has been made Nigeria's ambassador to Benin, and he has influence in Benin which is where Sunday Igboho is currently being held captive.
Nigerian Ambassador to the Benin Republic, Lieutenant General Tukur Yusufu Buratai (Rtd), has stated that Boko Haram has been defeated by the Nigerian Army.
