A former governor of Anambra state, Chief Chukwuemeka Ezeife has said that a new Nigeria is coming where there will be free and fair elections. According to him, there will be no more bloodshed in igboland especially in Anambra State, before, during and after the Governorship election come Saturday sixth November twenty twenty one.
There have been series of agitations across the country over the demand of self determination by some parts of the country. In the Southeast region, the outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, has been leading the agitation for self determination to have an independent country called Biafra.
Chukwuemeka Ezeife, former governor of Anambra State, has disclosed that strangers who are outside the Southeast are responsible for the incessant killings and violence rocking the state. Ezeife said this while fielding questions from Arise TV correspondents. Anambra, one of the states in the Southeast zone, has been rocked with series of persistent attacks and killings which may not be unconnected to the November 6 gubernatorial election in the state.
