A lot of Nigerians were not happy when the Nigerian Military under the instructions of the Federal government started the de-radicalization, rehabilitation and re-integration (DRR) program for repentant Boko Haram members in the country. Ex-Boko Haram Fighter's Reintegration: Implications on the War on Terror

Yesterday, the Nigerian Army authorities released another batch of 601 ex-Boko Haram fighters for reintegration into the society. According to Maj. Gen. Bamidele Shafa, the Coordinator of Operation Safe Corridor (OSC), all the 601 ex-Boko Haram fighters had completed six months of de-radicalization, rehabilitation, and reintegration (DRR) program in Gombe State and were fit for reintegration into society. They had also denounced their membership of the terror group and pledged allegiance to the Nigerian state.
