The recent clash between soldiers and youths in Imo has led to various reactions as many Nigerians have reacted to the incident. However, there was tension in Etekuru, in Ohaji Egbema Local Government Area of Imo State on Wednesday when soldiers and youths in the community clashed.

It is no longer news that just recently, there was a violent clash between some soldiers and youths believed to be oil thieves in Izombe community of Imo state. The violent clash which claimed the life of one of the youths, and a soldier, saw more soldiers invade the community, and burn about 50 houses (source: Vanguard Newspaper).

According to reports, unknown gunmen attacked the convoy of a multinational oil company at Etekuru junction in Ohaji-Egbema Local Government Area of Imo state. The hoodlums were said to have attacked the vehicles on Monday, 16th August at about 0820 a.m. The incident occurred at the Lee engineering company attached to the shell company in charge of the gas plant in Imo State.
