In a statement issued on Wednesday, Onome Onovwakpoyeya, the police spokesperson for the state, confirmed that the event had taken place. Onovwakpoyeya revealed that the incident took place on Monday evening in the vicinity of the Union Bank roundabout in Abakaliki, the capital of the state.
