Renowned lawyer and senior advocate of Nigeria, Chief Femi Falana has congratulated the southern governors for their stand on open grazing.While supporting the proposal to ban open grazing in the region, the legal luminary also advised the group to go ahead with legislation that will back the proposal.
According to SaharaReporters, militants from the Islamic State-backed Boko Haram group, the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP), formerly known as Jam'at Ahl as-Sunnah lid-Da'wah wa'l-Jihd, have organized da‘wt in some villages in Borno and Yobe states.The insurgents reportedly appealed to the villagers to join the group as militants and support their cause of establishing an Islamic caliphate, according to SaharaReporters.
