Three Yahoo friends, Ojo David Oluwatosin, Oreoluwa Ayub and Adetoyi Sodiq were arrested and charged for involving in acts of internet fraud. Oreoluwa who a 17-year-old guy with Sodiq who is 25 years old together with David were sentenced to jail for 6 months. On the 1st of July 2021, the Nigerian security force raided Sunday Igboho's in Oyo State, and about 12 of Igboho's aides were arrested. The twelve people that were arrested comprises of 11 men and a woman. On August 4, the judge that is presiding over the matter, Justice Obiora Egwuatu of the Federal High court in Abuja, admitted that the 12 detainees should be released on bail once they are able to meet the court's condition.
